I emailed them a bit back no reply.

Email them again or even write a letter (harder to ignore - especially if you have headed notepaper).  If you have difficulties with this (and I fully understand), get someone else to proof-read it.

Well official meetings and paperwork seem not to work as well so brushing it under the carpet by CDG and BCA it is then

Just because you did not get the answer you wanted to hear the first time of asking does not mean it has been brushed under the carpet. I have discussed this with Simon, he knows what needs to be done.

And I have offered you personally the chance to take it further and you declined. That offer is still open but it's up to you to make the effort.

Forcing people to join CDG is not allowing people freedom of choice or a solution to BCA's failure to support members of the U.K. Caving Communty

And some CDG sections are telling people they must leave UKMC if they wish to join

Ewan, have you got any evidence whatsoever to support that claim?

What about CDG sections telling people they can not join if they are not from that area ?

Is that in the CDG rules ?

It's blatant falsehoods on both counts. There are many members in all sections who live miles from the sections areas. There are members in all sections who are also UKMC members.

Only on Saturday I was at a section meeting I was not a part of, and watched a Somerset resident get voted in, even though they didn't live anywhere near this "sections area" and a UKMC member also got voted in.

Have you ever actually been to a meeting?

What you are pal, is a cock !
That's why you have been snubbed by Derbyshire and Yorkshire.
Whining and bleating about will only harden peoples opinion of you.

Get something real done then maybe people will give you some of the attention that you seem to want.......

I have it on good authority that you were not welcome in the CDG because you had a "bad attitude".  Nothing in your postings here or on social media have yet to convince me otherwise.

I have only met you once - at Vobster - where you turned up for a UKMC recruitment drive wearing at red MREW cave rescue padded jacket.  As a MCR warden, we are discouraged from wearing our red jackets unless on "official business" (i.e a rescue, training event, etc.).  I'm sure you must have other jackets (I've got a nice UKMC hoodie).  I thought to myself "what a tosser!"*

There's lots of mines in Wales - its famous for it - apply to the Welsh Section, they'll have you, they'll have anyone....

* I have been advised that thinking that someone is a "tosser" is not a bannable offence, which is a pity as I wouldn't have to put up with anymore of this sh1t.

And this is from the gentleman that called me a "whinging cnut" - Ewan: you need to up your game!  I retract my invitation to join the Welsh Section - try the Somerset Section - they only have one cave that they can dive in and they can't get to the end of it...

[emoji23] you know little of me

Anyone that knows me knows I'm a kit tramp and have to spend ?1000's a year on outdoors clothing and kit for work and when I can get a mountain equipment jacket for ?60 I will put that on any time I'm likely to rip any jacket after me putting a hole in my brand new ?400 Gortex jacket with a twin set I lifted out of a van

Bit personal anyway on a post about Accsess

Sadly I'm not the sort of dude that really gives a f*** of what people think of me for the jacket I choose to put on or my lack of hair cut or shave

So to up my game I need to do harder dives or exploration then I may be permitted to think about being mentored by CDG

But CDG say the only safe way (sorry safer way) to take part in UK sump diving is to be a member of CDG mentored by then and having passed the CDG test

I'm no Steven Hawkins but even I can see the slight floor in this way of thinking

I'm sorry.  An ad hominem jibe was unprofessional.  Whilst I don't really care what readers think of me, I will try to protect the reputations of those organisations I  am associated with.  I joined UKMC to try to act as an ambassador between UKMC & CDG.  My earlier posts were of a factual nature and an attempt to calm things down.  I have done similar on the UKMC Facebook group.  I apologise unreservedly for my personal attack on your character - it was only an attempt to clarify where I was coming from.

As always, I speak for myself (as if I had to tell you).
