Little Neath Levels

We're planning a trip to Little Neath in the next few weeks.

Has anyone visited recently, I know it's been particularly showery here in the Peak District and wondered what levels were like currently.

Thanks for any local info.

I live in Cwmparc and it was been raining, on and off all week.  By all means have a look at Little Neath, but have a dry cave lined up as well.

If your trip will be in the next few weeks, it's probably best to ask nearer the time. The rivers around there, like a lot of upland rivers, are very 'peaky' and rise and fall fast. I think Mellte, the name of the river in the next valley, that flows through Porth-yr-Ogof, means Lightening!

I've been in Bridge Cave and Ogof y Ci, in the last 2/3 weeks (both stream caves) and water levels were low to average. At Bridge, there was a reasonable flow in the cave but outside, the river wasn't flowing passed the main sinks. The Little Neath entrance was fine, when we had a quick look.

Sounds like we've had similar weather to you in the Peak and it's raining right now.
