    An informative discussion

Recently there was long thread about the BCA. I can now post possible answers to some of the questions, such as "Why is the BCA still raising membership prices when there is a significant amount still left in its coffers?"

New PVC suit

I caved for 12 months in a Faithful Dritex suit. Similar stretchy material to Lyon suits, and at ?50 a go, I couldnt complain. Disadvantages were that it had zip and stud fastening, and hood couldnt be packed away. But proved very useable and hard wearing. Have since bought an Alp Design cordura suit though, as it keeps me cooler.

I am also trailling one of the Warmbac PVC suits. So far it is very good.
The only problem are the jokes about canaries due to the choice of colours available (bright yellow or bright yellow).

Kermit says more colours will be available if the trials continue OK - I wonder?

I solved that problem by turning it brown, which currently isn't difficult in the dig we're working on...

[gmod]As suggested by Rob, I have merged the two Lyon PVC Suit Topics into this new one.[/gmod]

Hi all. Now the lyon pvc oversuit has been out for more people to abuse them, how are you rating them?
I have herd there amazingly good ( not mentioning no names but a shop keeper)

In the real world how are the fairing?

Chris

My original impressions still stand. Very comfortable, much more so than my Meander. No holes yet after maybe 10 general sporting trips in the Dales and some easy digging sessions. Wish it had cuff adjusters but otherwise very happy.

Well after hearing mixed reviews I think im just going to have to buy one and try it for myself.
Plenty of points from people taken on board so I will see how it works for me any keep you updated on my thoughts.
Happy caving all

My assessment is that they puncture easily.  They do not, however, rip very easily.  So any flake, spike, crystal etc will make a hole in the suit but it will not spread as a rip

That's good to know I bought one on Saturday and already put a few small holes in it, okay I did test it in Growling but I managed to make those holes on the big pitch due to a projection not in a tight bit.
