Not enough to trip report, but have images worth sharing?
Bung them in here :)

This was my first caving trip off-Mendip and was really just a reccie to see what I've been missing.
The trip was pretty much up the streamway to The Roundabout and Pi Chamber, and back by the Airy Fairy traverse.
These have been taken with the point and shoot camera with illumination mainly using Mark's Scurion - I can't wait to get back with the big camera and proper lighting!
A nice short introductory trip. Just WOW !  :D

Apparently Chunky was in there at the same time and we narrowly missed meeting him.
No doubt he will have some better piccies online shortly :)

I dream of going somewhere as nice as OFD, Brendan would only let out to prospect and document 4 digs on the Black mountains  :chair:

These photo's are great Dunc. The rock in OFD is just stunning for photo's, you need to get back when the water levels are a bit higher too, makes for really dynamic photo's.

Cheers Chunky
You mean you didn't take some shots for sharing - scandalous!
If you want to team up for a return trip.......

The shot I missed was Airy Fairy traverse - OMG that pushed my comfort zone way out the the limits. Hopefully next time I'll have enough decorum to whip the camera out and capture something; but this trip all I could do was avoid rising levels of terror.

Having had an OFD taster, I badly want to go back and do the through trip.
Talking in the pub tonight I think I may have found someone prepared to lead the trip.
It'll be a full-on no-cameras caving trip, but I like the idea of the big trip very much.
Fingers crossed I'll get back with the full camera gear before too long, but that's a much easier and totally different prospect.

I may have one decent shot will take a look tomorrow see if it shot as I hoped.

Which of the through trips are you planning?

Also when up this way you need to get someone to take you in to Dan yr ogof ☺

Looking forward to seeing it - your photos are always excellent :)
Top entrance to bottom entrance (or other way around depending on the leaders preference); about 6-8 hours, a navigational nightmare, wet, cold and in places a bit scary - I'm looking forward to it...
One weird thing about yesterdays round trip was heading down to the entrance; all my previous trips have headed up to the entrance. I reckon it's significantly easier!
I've been given a bucket list of Welsh caves; Dan yr Ogof is definitely on that list :)

It's a nice through trip you'll enjoy it. Should imagine you'll do the main stream way rather than traverses. You'll be amazed how the cave changes character as you make your way through. It's my favourite thing about the OFD system, been in there dozens of times and there's still places to visit that I haven't been.
