Ogof Pant Canol and Downey's Cave

Is it still possible/sensible/allowed to do a through trip via Ogof Pant Canol and Downey's Cave? I'm not attempting to subvert the normal access procedures (we have access), just curious

From what I can tell, human proportions are a potential limitation.
It's as if you're going to South Wales, to big cave system, and looking for a short, tight, wet trip you could do in the Mendips!

When I wanted to do this through trip in the 1960s I was told it was banned and that SWCC would come round and pull my toenails out or something similar if it was attempted.
