on sunday i finally got a trip in here after missing lots of trips cause of floods or being busy
we just had a quick dash to far sump and back with a look at treasury
underground for 4 hrs and barely made a start
others from the club did a titan trip
met some other people from n wales including hediharthat from aditnow

Correct, the cave is extremely dry at the moment. The "first airbell" is actually quite a bit more cave, called Brown's Chamber. It is only accessible without freediving when it's very dry...

The surprise view ladder is now fully fixed and bracketed to the wall (http://ukcaving.com/board/index.php/topic,6987.0.html), and certainly feels bombproof. The approach gully to it is now equipped with new stainless steel chain, which to my mind is very slippery to the hand compared to the older rougher mild steel/ galv stuff. There are a pair of bolts available for a belay at the top
