PSM and Berger Access/Advice

Hey all

Organizing trips in the next couple of years for these french caves.

Does anyone have access application forms for either cave (in English, as I have to one for PSM but it's in french).

And can anyone recommend places to stay while out there, recommended insurance ect..

Does anybody know how to obtain a permit for the Berger, I would be looking at doing it with my club UBSS sometime in August 2011.

For the Berger you need to apply after the 1st of November the year before and should hear back by February. I would expect you are too late to apply for this year but you might still be lucky.

Last summer there were at least 2 unused permit slots for the Berger. So there should be a reasonable chance even applying at this time.

For what it's worth, I believe that Sp?l?o Grenoblois du Club Alpin Fran?ais are organizing an 'open' session at the Berger in May; as I understand it, it's a chance for anyone interested to have a 'free trip', as it were (i.e. it'll all be rigged, so you just have to roll up . . . though I don't doubt that pre-booking is necessary).
