Anybody know who's rope and why Pwll Dwfn has been left rigged all the way down?

Looks like it's been there a little while as the maillons have started to rust

I'm only guessing, perhaps ask Joel.

The diver's 'permanent' rigging down the five main pitches was removed in 2014 when diving operations ceased in the sump.  Any tat remaining on side routes or hanging out of the roof on the way down to the sump is still probably Joel's from many years ago - do not use it under any circumstances!  Stick to the p-bolted route.

The last group that I heard of that had the cave rigged for any prolonged period were Cardiff Uni / Dachstein Expedition Trainees last year...  The person that would know if that rigging was still in place would be...  Joel Corrigan.

Is there any plans for this to be removed as the maillons are starting to rust over?
