I work with a member of the UWFRA who's told me what happened. Perhaps you should first find out the details and the severity before you take the piss.

He got out and he's OK. Chill.
"There was no need for an ambulance, he was a bit shaken and just needed some hot food,"
Now we've found out, can we take the piss please?

"North Yorkshire Police call out for caver stuck in a very tight passage. After some widening of the passage, he was finally pulled free after being stuck for some 8 hours."

I wouldn't want to discourage a bit of harmless piss-taking, but this doesn't sound like much fun.  I wonder how they managed to do some passage-widening while the guy was still filling it up ?  No caps, presumably....

I met Colin Boothroyd the day after the P5 rescue.

Can I take the piss please?

Yes, I did.

And had a lot of respect for him for appearing in Inglethief the day after...The scrape marks were very impressive.

Bloody exquisite timing, and the 'secret dig' was no more secret

CRO cover everything to the East of Pen-y-Ghent. UWFRA cover cave rescue west of this.
I think you may be holding your map the wrong way up ....  ;)

;) Thanks, Yes. Some confusion between brain and keyboard. CRO covers the area to the West of Pen-y-Ghent and UWFRA the area to the East.
