Hi,

I left a message on the SMCC website on Thursday night last week asking for someone from the committee to let me know who they wanted to go to the BEC Annual Dinner in October.  My message has not been responded to so I am unsure as to whether the committee have read the message.

Could someone from the SMCC committee please contact me to let you know whether you want a free ticket and if so who you would like to attend.  If you give their email address I can then send them the menu choices.

Hi,

Butch came last year - so was sort of thinking perhaps someone else from SMCC might like to attend this year.  I'm glad it did appear on notice board - having had no response I was starting to think perhaps the website was down.

I'll wait to hear something then.  There is only one ticket available - all other tickets have sold out.

Apparently BEC annual dinners are genuinely gurt posh so a tux is most likely required!

BEC dinners posh? lol 

Most chaps attending wear suit and a shirt and tie.  Most women wear ball gowns or smart dresses etc.  I like the fact that actually even the beardy weardy BEC cavers actually scrub up rather nicely for the dinner... dare I say some are actually quite sexy! Oh God I'm very weird to think that I know!  Perhaps I should go to counselling!?!

Honestly the BEC dinner is a laugh.  We have a three course meal, lots of beer, a guest speaker and then a coach back to the Belfry for more beer.  Some girlies stay in frocks until the morning!  Its always a fun affair and runs on the evening of the first Saturday in October  - after our AGM during the day!

Lady cavers hould realise there is more the the male talent of the BEc than old, beardy, boring male cavers... we do actually have fit, beardy, baldy, male, cavers!  some will even buy you a drink!  The BEC has come a long way in the last 6 years since I joined! lol ;P
