    An informative discussion

Recently there was long thread about the BCA. I can now post possible answers to some of the questions, such as "Why is the BCA still raising membership prices when there is a significant amount still left in its coffers?"

Smashing weekend

Have just had an intersting weekend trying to destroy all my photographic equipment!

My "friend" dropped my main flash and firefly slave 35 feet down Bell pitch in Ireby Fell cavern, it landed on a large rock before resting submerged in pool at the bottom for 10 minutes or so while I rigged the pitch to retrieve it.

After drying out I am pleased to report both still work!

The following day during a trip in Ease Gill I placed My camera, Pentax Optio and my second flash and slave( first flash still drying out!) on the floor briefly, only to come back a few seconds latter to find my "friend" tramplimg all over them not knowing they were there!

The Firefly slave survived without a mark, the flash, although crushed is working, unfortunalty the camera suffered a split LCD Screen, but works otherwise!

Fortunatly the Jessops 35 pound three year insurance has come to the rescue to repair/replace the camera

Lets hope I have more luck in future!
