A break from cave photog to capture my first total solar eclipse! I saw the annular one in Michigan back in 1994 which where I was I think was 96%. But the difference between 96% and 100% is amazing, it is not linear! So so so glad we traveled to be in totality where it lasted a short 2.5 minutes.
Composite of four frames. Not bad for have zero solar/stellar experience and only a 50mm lens to work with and no solar filter so I made my own from a pair of solar glasses! It even captured the prominances, although one has to pixel peep to see them.
