Viper Lamps

I have a Viper lamp that’s about 12 years old. It’s been a brilliant lamp but the charger has packed in. I’ve tried the manufacturer without success for a replacement. Does anybody know where I can source a charger, or a suitable alternative

Here's an archive of their web site:

There's a manual available there.

It seems to be a single lithium ion battery. The manual says "Only use the smart charger provided to charge the battery".

There's a small photo of the plug, but the output voltage/current aren't readable.

Do you still have the plug with the details?

There's a model number on the plug, perhaps this is a commercial off-the-shelf charger?

Try contacting Warmbac. They used to have all the spares. I got a charger from them back in 2016.

A good suggestion above. I used vipers for my customers and had seven. I currently have five chargers but haven't used them for over three years so cannot vouch whether they still work.

If PhilD can organise collection he can have this bundle.

I did a bit of work on that plug photo and it's marginally better, especially if you squint or sit further back - with coffee! ;)

On the photo, it looks like "Output 24V". If so this suggests that its going through a bespoke battery management module. As the controls for the lamp are in the battery unit this is no surprise. I wonder how users will get on when cells need replacing?
