Wanted: Camp Turbo Chest (roller/croll)

I am going to weld an oval krab to the back of one of these, and turn it into a mutant chest roller for ropewalking.

I'd like to use a s/h one for starters as I'd rather not ruin a new one.

Mine works well enough as a roller in it's own right. Maybe try it out before you modify it?

Mine isn't going anywhere, but good luck finding a used one.

I use a MTDE Garma harness and you can put a roller in the top krab. The idea being this is about nipple level. I need a way of attaching a roller to this, there are 2 options, a fixed side pulley in the crab, or making a crab turbo-chest bastard offspring. This will be attached to the D ring, so it functions as a nipple level croll-cum-roller.

I'm not 100% happy with my knee ascender elastic at the moment. It's not stretchy enough.

I tried fitting an Oscillante pulley to my Garma top krab, and to be honest, it still wasn't high enough for me to make that much of a difference, though admittedly it was just a test using a normal rig, and the hand jammer kept banging into it as a result. But I felt, daft as it sounds, that something around the neck would be a better spot, but it might be a bit of a strain.

I use a Climbing harness out of preference (,so my attachment point is higher. I use a standard Petzl Torse with it. I know Cap'n Chris has one, might be worth seeing what he uses in his setup.

When we were climbing out of the Torca Del Carlista the other week Di positioned her long cow's tail over her shoulder and attached a Petzl Fixe pulley to it and attached it to the rope. She flew up the 84m pitch with her otherwise basic rope walking rig.
