Waterproof Flash Container - Recommendations

On a recent trip, another photographer had a clear watertight barrel with a screw lid slightly bigger than a flashgun.
It was superb and I could really use one of them!
He says he bought it from a canoeing supply shop quite a few years ago. Googling I can't find anything remotely like it!

Does anyone have any recommendations for a waterproof container to put my flash into?
Thanks in advance - Duncan

Bearing in mind that waterproofing may not be the only requirement underground, what about the smaller Peli cases? I use a 1300 which holds two chunky flashes perfectly, albeit with not much spare room. The added bulk may well come in handy in terms of impact protection though. Two recent identical incidents have shown me that it was money well spent - how about a 200-metre bounce down a very steep hill, followed by a smash into a drystone wall? First time the case contained a GPS unit, iPhone 6 and a DistoX. Second time was my digital SLR, zoom lens and flash trigger, but luckily this one was only halfway up the hill, so about 100m bouncing. Everything worked perfectly afterwards, and still does.

Would love to find something like it. I assume you're saying you can operate them for this kind of shot?

The Cap'n and Jess lit this with flash guns in plastic bottles, but there is always the risk of water damage so I would be very interested in hearing of any options.

Yes - I want to be able to use the flash while in the container :)

Here's one taken using a flash in the barrel I mentioned strapped to the model's back - lot's a water flying around!

for heavy spray we use ziplock bags, but something sealed would be far preferable

Hi Duncan, some time ago I bought a clear 'plastic' case from Inglesport, about 5.5 x 3.5 x7 inches, which would easily take one of my flashguns; I was a bit dubious about this case, because it felt a bit brittle, but on its first outing underground it fell out of my tackle bag as I was rigging the third pitch in Ireby Fell Cavern and bounced off round the corner, to fall some 40 feet or so onto solid rock, perhaps slightly protected by the pool at the bottom of the pitch. 'That's that', I thought, but was astonished when I had descended the pitch to find that the box was intact, the contents dry, and the flash still worked. Whether Inglesport still stock these boxes and whether ione would suit your purpose, are different matters, of course.

couldn't you use one of those big chunky sports water bottles, would a flash fit in the top?

Shame the thin one are a bit too thin for a flash!

I'm not familiar with these.
Got a link to something you think might do the job?
