In this always fascinating program Jim interviews Professor Sharon Peacock who created the UK's world-leading (yes really) Covid genome sequencing facility COG-UK.

She had a remarkable career going from school-leaver at 16 with no qualifications in science through nurse, doctor, professor, to heading COG-UK. The last part has her worries for the coming winter. Well worth a listen for 30 minutes - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0011498

It's always worth a listen but I agree. This episode is particularly good.
