Instructions for filling in and returning the form are included on the
form. Please let CHECC know as soon as possible if your club is planning
on attending, even if you cannot return the booking form until later -
this means we can make a better estimate of numbers and include your clubs
name on the T-Shirts.

More information and a programme will be released nearer to the event.

    * Ticket price still only ?15 - we've worked hard to keep the price
down this year and have just managed it despite increased numbers
leading to increased costs.

IMPORTANT: Please remember that this event is open to pre-booked University clubs and affiliate members of those clubs ONLY. Anyone who has not pre-booked will NOT be admitted.

The forum is almost upon us...

FANCY DRESS on friday night!  Each club should choose a theme and arrive
in Fancy dress.

Each club should CREATE AN A3 POSTER showing off their summer expedition
or similar.  They will be displayed around the hut and a prize awarded
for the best one.

    * Upon arrival, each member of your club needs to go to the registration desk to receive their badge.
    * If you have been allocated beds in the cottage you should have received an email telling you how many you have for your club. You will need to bring sufficient tents and rollmats for everyone else.
    * There will be training held at Ystradgynlais Sports Centre on the saturday and sunday during the day.
    * This year there will be a fully stocked bar on the friday and saturday night
    * There will be the usual selection of games played on the saturday night

This years event was an outstanding success! Over 240 people attended for a weekend full of caving and partying. Two CIC's provided SRT training to anyone who wanted it, ranging from basic to advanced techniques. A large marquee in the car park provided cover for games, music and a large disco on saturday night (as well as a mud-wrestling arena later in the night..). The bar was expanded this year to sell Vodka, wine and cider in addition to the staple supply of beer and the vodka in particular went down very well indeed and everyone was well fed for breakfast and the BBQ on saturday night.

CHECC would like to thank all the sponsors for supporting the event:
  • Hidden Earth provided the PA system for the marquee.
  • The Wessex Speleological Group provided an accommodation prize.
  • Cerberus provided an accommodation prize.
  • The Bradford Pothole Club provided an accommodation prize.
  • David Ryall gave a prize of 30metres of static rope.
  • Caving Supplies gave a tackle bag as a prize.
  • Bat Products gave some books as a prize.
  • Descent Magazine gave some books as a prize for the poster competition.
  • Bernies gave a bag of goodies as prizes.
