I took this one yesterday at the dig face whilst Pete Rose was annoying me with his camera. It occurred to me that we have been digging and caving together for 55 years now. Later in the 1960s Peter Glanvill ( mrodoc ) joined us and we have all three dug and caved together for some 50 years. Now we are all retired we have faced a resurgence in our caving and disguised as " The Tuesday Diggers " we cave at least once a week and like this week sometimes twice. We find each other particularly irritating now no less so than 50 odd years ago. Hopefully, we can go on for a few more years yet. Can any team or pair beat 55 years? Photos a necessity.

Congratulations - that's a very impressive statistic!

As a matter of interest, any other caving buddies with the same duration of association? I actually met Pete and Nick in 1967 after finding a note Pete wrote on a piece of card in Holwell Cavern asking people not to throw stones down their dig. We ended up helping with the dig - which was successful.
