This is a photo of the Snuffit Pot's shakehole

Does anybody know which entrance is Snuffit Pot 1 and which one is Snuffit Pot 2 ?

Sorry Beardy, I can't answer your question with certainty. But I'm interested enough in that photo to ask you if that's a load of flattened grass indicating water coming from the alcove on the left?

Pitlamp  - Yes it certainly is flattened grass, it looks like a small stream might flow down the field above the shakehole, and make a little waterfall. I hadn't thought about the amount of flattened grass, as the streambed above the shakehole was quite small, maybe something resurges from the cliff at the back of the shakehole in wet weather?

Thanks Beardy - just interested as it looked to me like the obstruction between SP 1 & 2 is substantial enough to cause some water in flood to have to take the surface route; reckon that's right?

Too far up valley for the Really Big Stuff. Interesting area though.
