    An informative discussion

Recently there was long thread about the BCA. I can now post possible answers to some of the questions, such as "Why is the BCA still raising membership prices when there is a significant amount still left in its coffers?"

Here is an interesting article I found on ukdiving.co.uk by Martyn Farr, briefly describing a selection of dives in some UK mines:

Does anyone happen to know whether the flooded levels in Croesor mine have been dived and if so whether any details are available?

Yes, no - but they are horrible and full of diesel at the bottom.

So does diesel just sit at the bottom?

Is that a problem? Sorry if it's a daft question, but if you're breathing from a tank why does it matter if you're in water or diesel?

I could smell the diesel when we were on the bridges.

I'd imagine that you'd still be risking ingestion of the diesel and I can't imagine hydrocarbons are great stuck in your lungs.... But I know nothing about diving really
