Discoveries in Ogof Igam-Ogam 1988-2018

Below is a link to an article on exploration work in Ogof Igam-Ogam by CroydonCC and CDG members. Meant to be appearing in the CroydonCC Newsletter Pelobates 96 in the not too distant future.

A conservative estimate of the horizontal passage in Thirty Year Itch and Sump 4 is 200 metres. Sump 4 is about 80 metres long.
Total cave length 700 metres+

Concerning the name it means zig-zag in Welsh which you might know. It got its name a long time before the kids TV program of the same name. With a Welsh dictionary clasped in one hand, we were initially going to call it Ogof Gwib which I think means slippery like a snake. However, on talking to Clare Jones of SWCC  whose Welsh was obviously better than ours, its name got changed to Igam-Ogam which much better sums up the nature of the passage.

Good stuff!

"....the almost mythical Pant Mawr Master System,,,"

Understandable, but we know it must be there.
