    Recently there was long thread about the BCA. I can now post possible answers to some of the questions, such as "Why is the BCA still raising membership prices when there is a significant amount still left in its coffers?"

The attached photograph recently surfaced on Facebook, which we can share here thanks to Adrian Clarke, showing DCRO in its 1966 form. It was taken by his Dad, who was a team member at the time.

The equipment on show would have been either donated, purchased new or second hand using team members own money and monetary donations from fellow cavers and the general public. 53 years later we are still a voluntary team, funded almost entirely by donations.

In 1966 DCRO responded to four callouts.

Half of these were due to failing lights, one in Oxlow Caverns and one in Axe Hole.
The other half were both caused by falling rocks, Collapsing deads in Maskhill Mine and a dislodged rock in Giants Hole.
