Looks like it's owned by UKGE, I bought my first headlight from them before my first proper underground trip (to Emmer Green chalk mine) not sure how respected they are but the light still works 3 years on and they still send me emails.....

What do you mean by 'well respected'? Do you mean scientifically sound?

I'll come clean. I noticed there had been an article on Nenthead (in the link I posted), also noted that this was primarily a collectors' magazine as far as I can tell, and wondered if anyone had actually read this particular issue, and would like to comment. If it makes no mention of mineral collecting from the Nenthead mines, which I believe has been a problem in the past, then great. But I suspect that even if it doesn't mention collecting, those who care for and protect the mines there might have had reservations about what was published.
