The post i saw on EuroSpeleo fb page had quite a few photos from the print entries but none of the digital so they did repost images.
Im sorry to labour this point, but there might still be a misunderstanding here! Nobody from Eurospeleo posted
ANY of the images that were entered in the photo salon competition. The entrants themselves may have posted some images, and
then they might have been shared, but that's a different thing.
This isnt a dig at you, Amy, but an attempt to clarify what might be a generally confusing situation.
You can post what you like and share it, and expect it to be shared once it has been posted. And that's fine and good. (And, in fact, many Social Media terms and conditions take rights away from you anyway). But what
will not happen is that you send a photo to Eurospeleo/Hidden Earth for the express purpose of entering a competition, and then someone from EuroSpeleo/Hidden Earth disregards your rights and re-posts the photo without seeking further specific permission from you.
In fact, the Hidden Earth team is pleased to be the first European caving organisation to achieve an accreditation to the
Artists Bill of Rights Campaign, which recognises that our competitions are fair to entrants in this respect.
Sorry to go on. Most people may wonder what the fuss is all about! But some people do like to control the rights to their artistic creations (and that is their choice, which we must respect) and so people need to know that EuroSpeleo/Hidden Earth fully respects those rights.
