As part of the NI Science Festival, join Les Brown (Hydro-geologist) and explore the fascinating karst hydrology of Cuilcagh Mountain and Shannon Cave System in this film at 12am on Thursday 18th February 2021 from the comfort of your home.

Les will explain how caves are formed and will focus on the water tracing aspect of cave science, which involves dye tracing stream sinks and cave streams to work out which springs they drain to in order to prove the extent of the Shannon Cave system.

This Citizen Science Project has been undertaken in conjunction with the Speleological Union of Ireland (SUI) and CatchmentCARE.eu.
