I know crackpot is not the largest cave in the area by any means, but how much passage is there?

I am aware of the entrance passage which leads into a nice but all too short obvious stream passage. Is there any more, a friend suggested there was more passage accesible via a climb?

Enough to make it a worthy trip, though it is short. There's the netrance 'crawl', streamway upstream and boulder choke that i've never found the way out of downstream, and then a chamber and dig upstream. the dig might be the climb you've heard of. Horribly loose and unstable and a scence of a few near misses i've been told of!
Still, a nice little cave.
