Helmet Mount Fixings

Hi all,

What fixings (nut and bolt rivet etc) are people using to mount lights onto helmets. I am looking for an option that is relatively low profile at both ends.

I really don't want to use zip ties, 3M pads or anything of a similar vein.

Thanks in advance!

Pop rivets (fitted from the inside) can be very effective and low profile,  but it depends what you are mounting. Ideally, you would press the back of the rivet flat with a clamp or something, but this only works if you have access to both sides after riveting.

Alternatively an M4 coach screw (also fitted from the inside) with nylock nut is very low profile inside and not too bulky outside.

i think i will try pop rivets. I was thinking of trying to use solid rivets but it seems the tools to compress them are quite  expensive (or i have to risk using a hammer).
