Yesterday, we encountered a number of head+-sized broken boulders at the top of the Bob Hole pitch in Rift Pot, which needed moving to one side. They appeared to have fallen from above. It wasn't a major fall, but enough to wipe out anybody standing in the wrong place.

I guess that boulder falls in Rift Pot is about as newsworthy as bears defecating in the woods, but there may be some more wanting to join their mates.

I presume Rift Pot on the Allotment, won't be Rift Pot at Masongill/Marble Steps.  Always worth noting these things

I know what you mean but others less familiar may not so just trying to be helpful  :halo:.

The Northern Caves Guide has it described as Rift Pot at Masongill/Marble Steps area.  There is a small cave on Leck Fell called New Rift Pot, so in an official guide book capacity......  Rift is Rift the same.

I'm not overly familiar with Bob's Hole (thankfully) - didn't he fall down it?
