Just a quick note to let people know that there's an Expedition Skills Training Workshop being held in Wales over the Bank holiday Weekend of 3rd May.  Look at the Expedition Section of the forum for details.

The Expedition Training Workshop is happening THIS weekend and if you're planning on coming then you need to let us know asap as we've got to organise food etc for everyone.  Main details are on the Facebook site:

Those people assisting with training include: Tom Chapman (IRATA Lvl3), Joel Corrigan (IRATA Lvl3),  Martin Groves, Andy Harp, Ian Holmes, Rich Hudson(IRATA Lvl3),Brian Jopling (manufacturer of stretchers), Robbie Shone (IRATA Lvl3), Matt St Clair, Kev Welch. 

Workshops on the Saturday include SRT (ranging from quite basic stuff to pretty advanced things depending upon previous experience), surveying, cave photography (run by the god-like Robbie!), 1st aid, safety on the hills & prospecting, emergency procedures, kit selection, etc...  On the Sunday we've got a cave rescue practice.  Some of the volunteers are travelling from all over the UK and between them they have at least five minutes of hard-core expedition experience....  Add to this or send me a PM.
