Better late than never!
In summer 2014 York University Cave & Pothole Club ran another expedition to Durmitor in the north of Montenegro, pushing JVC(YF1) to just over 300 m deep, and Bunda Jama to 622 m deep - now the second deepest in Durmitor and the 4th deepest in the country (we believe). We've (finally) got around to sorting the report, having had a year off in 2015, and it's available on the expedition website.
As well as the usual write-up and surveys, it also includes:
- Some of Martin's rather nice photos of the caves
- Recipes intended for remote camping as well as maximum taste & nutrition! (to add to the ones in the 2013 report)
- Drill tests using LiPo batteries
Hopefully some of the info may be of use to others as well as ourselves, and you might hopefully find it an entertaining read, at least in parts.
Plans are afoot for a potential return this year...
