Anyone making and selling ladders on Mendip?

As the title says.  Looking to buy a bog standard 10 metre ladder.  Aside from the usual retail sources, is anyone local making and selling them at a reasonable price (i.e. much cheaper than normal retail prices)?  Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Is anyone able to text Martin Grass tonight?

Would anyone be able to text Martin Grass for me to remind him about a Reservoir Hole trip tomorrow evening?  It was arranged a while back and I emailed him a reminder last night to check it's still on, but haven't heard back yet.  I'm sure it's fine, but a couple of us are leaving work early...

    SeamGrip on Cordura oversuit?

The strip of cordura that runs up the spine of my oversuit (to protect the seam underneath) is coming un-stitched and detached from the suit.  Has anyone used Seam Grip to stick cordura back down on such a repair?  If so, where's the best place to buy it, because many online places have silly...

    Info on Honeymead Hole

Probably a silly question, but are the pitches in Honeymead Hole all bolted?  New MU describes the pot near/in The Watershed as "either a sporting free-climb or ladder pitch."  We only have 2 ladders (but several ropes of varying lengths) and are keen, if there's time, to go down either Keen's...

LOOSE BOULDER - Ogof Draenan entrance series

A bunch of us were there today.  On the way out I noticed a loose boulder in the entrance series, very close to the gate.  It's head-sized and would do some really damage if it fell on someone.  It's not currently so loose that we would have been able to fully dislodge it, but in time it will...

    Parking for Ubley Warren Pot?

Can anyone advise on the best place to park for Ubley Warren Pot? CSCC access guide simply says that no courtesy call at the farm is needed, and not to park in the lane

    Aggy survey

Hi, can anyone help me locate a good (non survex) online survey of Aggy?

Swildon's - opinions needed on the short round trip

A couple of us were originally planning on doing the short round trip tomorrow - we nearly did it the other week, but one member of the team didn't want to go through the Double Troubles, so he waited while 2 of us went on through the Troubles and just about up to the Birthday Squeeze (we've...

    Longwood Swallet

A bunch of us (competent cavers) are interested in a trip to Longwood Swallet.  I know it's not a leader trip as such, but is it advisable (more than normal) to have someone who has above average knowledge of it?  We're aware that flooding is a real risk and certainly would time a visit...

    Gloves

I'm still relatively new to caving and I've been making do with regular marrigolds for too long.  As tough and grippy as they are, they tend to drain heat away, which is no good in wet caves.  Any thoughts (I'd imagine there are loads if the wellies thread is anything to go by!) on...

Road conditions around Whitewalls at the moment?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can advise what the road conditions around the Whitewalls hut (Llangattock) are like at the moment in terms of snow/ice?  A few of us are supposed to be going there tonight

    Hunter's Lodge Xmas period opening?

Anyone know if the Hunters is open tomorrow (and the day after for that matter)? If so, is it normal opening at lunchtine? 12-2? EDIT: just answered my own question. Yes, open from 1130
