    The loose anchor at the top of the pitch (just below the ledge on the take off) has now been extracted and replaced with a new BP twisted shaft resin bonded anchor. There are no changes to the rigging requirements or rope lengths. Apologies for the delay.

    Cwm Dwr rockfall - please avoid

    With thanks to a dedicated team of cavers completing stabilisation works we can now announce that Cwm Dwr is open. However, as always cavers are asked to pass this and all other boulder chokes with extreme caution.

    Please see Stuart’s post. The airlock doors were installed around 10 years ago, maybe longer, and is now kept locked with no access either into or out of the show cave (cathedral)

    Yes that’s correct. Although there is no access to cathedral cave via Tunnel cave.

    Currently there is no access to Tunnel top cave in the Swansea Valley due to problems with the gate. Repairs will be carried out in the near future.

    Hi All. Without trying to start World War 3 on cave gates. I'm after information on combination locks for existing gates please. Have you used these before? Are they easy to use? are, were, they durable? And did they require excessive maintenance schedules? Thanks in advance for any assistance.
