    Morocco - Agadir

Number of Caves that have been surveyed in UK

Does anyone have an idea of how many (the total number of) caves have been surveyed/mapped or simply sketched in the UK to date. Bit of an odd question I guess but an Iranian Caving Colleague has asked me how many.

    Caves in Coldstone Quarry (Greenhows)

Spent this week just gone doing some work in Coldstone Quarry that belongs to Howdens.  In the quarry there are several cavelets and cave entrances.  Talking to Shirley (Quarry Manager) and Bob Orange (Site Manager) they informed me that the caves are known and are generally short in length...

Caves in Flag Dale - Wormhill-Chee Tor Area

Went for a walk in the Wormhill Area last Sunday and came across a couple of small caves in Flag Dale just above where the footpath crosses the dale.  Neither are in COPD and both look like they have been dug at some time.  Does anyone know anything about these?  All the best  :)
