Friday joke - WARNING - contains swearing.

Discussing holidays for the summer. We went through the common options Self catering Half Board Full Board All Inclusive Then my daughter suggested one I hadn't heard of before - All Conclusive - Oh my god she's thinking of booking me into Dignitas!

    CT Footloop - Snap

The use of the rope from below to create a loop to stand in as Badlad describes works really well as when you stand the rope is tight and so your chest ascender is very efficient. The problem comes if you try to change over as Maisie Syntax describes. Your descender goes on the rope below your...

Flotsam, that is a story to tell. Also not a place you want gear failure.

    CT Footloop - Snap

From my perspective as an equipment manufacturer there are different ways to look at products. Make an item that is suitable in terms of strength and function. If required test it and if it passes you can then sell it, as it meets the minimum requirements. This does not make it a good product...

Steve Great Deaths Head Photo Surprisingly big and I always forget it is such a significant shaft as you just walk across the fell and there it is. Lovely shot

    Caves with exposed rigging/traverses?

Big Pitch in Black Shiver gives a great sense of your insignificance and is part of a smart trip as well - Lovely once the weather warms and you can get more involved in the water. I love black dub and the big pitch both of which are atmospheric for different reasons

Happy New Year, resolutions....and Thornton Force

I like the pictures, mighty impressive of course. However as a caver I would like to point out that this is the waste product - the leftover after it has completed its function. Where's Chunky when you need him or the OR and why has Full not stepped in? We need to start the year with an...

    Good ceiling sucking practise?

The Swarthgill canal is as you say quite long, often full of foam and an incredible peatty colour giving it great atmosphere. Pity the trip doesn't go beyond it, as it would be an incredible start / end to a day out.

    Oversuits!

The items you love and are really comfy always wear out too soon. The ones that don't quite hit the mark always seem to last too long for you to justify changing - pity In my case I am referring to helmets, but that is a completely different thread

    Descent 300

Mine was sealed, but the thing that made the biggest impression was a great image with minimal disruption. If this is the look to come from the descent team then I can't wait to see future covers and photo's Well done Chris
