    Cryptic caves

Surely you can get to Compton easily enough... and Mine. I presume the bird in question is a House Martin. I thought it was a pretty good 1st attempt at a cryptic clue.

    Caving Memes

You make a good point Steve, but there’s a fine line between raising serious issues in a light hearted way and being offensive. For one thing, if you don’t know the subject personally, how do you know whether a particular meme will cause thought-provoking laughter or offence?

    Carabiners - Uses & Preferences...

I moved to an Omni Triact from a D maillon relatively recently. It certainly makes dekitting much easier after evening trips in winter. However, I have a suspicion that it's easy to put the Triact on with at least one of the actions not fully engaged as it gets jammed against the oversuit and...

    Alum pot extra P hangers

We descended anyway, with several of us convinced that we would be the one to find the elusive deviation. I chose not to go down the last pitch. The idea was that I would ascend the pitch without the deviation and re-rig on the other side of the bridge, where I know there is a deviation. But...

    Alum pot extra P hangers

Last time I was down there, we couldn't find anywhere for the highlighted deviation on the 40m rope. This leads to pretty bad rope rub near the top of the pitch.

My book "A series of short passages"

Made a start on my copy this morning. What a great read - in the classic tradition of caving writing: witty, irreverent, self-effacing and completely absorbing. Thanks Graham!
