I am planning a caving trip in south wales tomorow (30th dec) could anyone recomend a cave which would not be too wet, due to the heavy rain, and is not gated. It whould also be good if the cave is not too strenuous. Thanks, 987056

Does porth yr ogof hold any digging prospects or any way of obtaining dry accesses to parts past the sumps? Just wondering as its probably the cave i have visited most. 

Is Vadose devlopment posibal in chalk?

Has any one ever surveyed blacknor/sandy hole?

i am currantly on the isle of wight whick is mostly made of chalk with a small band of limestone running east west along the middle. I know that there are fairly long chalk caves else ware in england i am also aware of some collapse features and a verry small spring leading to a very tight sump...
