Did you ever source one of these? I managed to find a small stock of them on Taobao last year, and it seemed to be genuine and perform correctly. Now thinking about it I may have got a PAN1026 which also works.

I'm surprised it's lasted this long, I wonder how much the surface air temperature affects how fast it melts. I doubt the warm air will sink into the hole that much.
