Wonder how this will affect boulder chokes. Im fairly sure the Winnats slot snapping wood was the work of the Buxton earthquake, as it was fine before and hasn't moved since. Might go down Winnat's soon and check if anything's changed.
Can't find the topo but If i remember the first pitch is a Y hang with an optional deviation. 2nd and 3rd pitches are straight Y hangs. Cant remember the rope lengths sorry!
I'm reminded of a compass trick we learnt at scouts, where you could use the position of the hour hand on a watch to tell which way was north. Perhaps the sundial serves a similar purpose here?
Depressing! All the more reason to create a better future through rewilding, sustainable farming with less intensive sheep and cattle grazing, and reduction of C02 emissions. (Perhaps this is what you've been arguing - I've not been following this thread!)
