From a long retired lurker. Can anyone satisfy my curiosity? Forty years back I was the first up the ladder to the maypole passages. Did anyone ever try a dig there - the lower bedding plane looked quite hopeful but we never did go back and I've always wondered where it went. Cheers Steve
