I've heard that the front accessible entrance that's half way up the hill/mountain has been closed off. As it will take a little more investigating in daylight for the other way in, I'm just wondering if anyone is any wiser whether this is the case? Earlier this year I went through this entrance so it must have been a not too recent closure if so. Thanks

i was there a couple months back and it looks to be purposely partially filled in.

Thanks, yes I've made it now. I asked because I was planning to head up of an evening and would have not been able to locate any alternative entrances in the dark. From a distance it looks blocked but is in fact as you say only partially.
I had a 'date' with the engine and the crane on the lower level as last time I had not been able to summon up the courage for the ladders. All seen and accomplished now 🥳
