Aahhh Carbide, the good old days of black snot, soapy hands from the slaked lime, crawling about in the dark trying to get it to relight, getting the pig wet and watching it bloat, running out of water, trying to clean the jets, changing 'o' rings by feel, the list just goes on. But when it worked what a wonderful light. Like many things I think that its time has come and gone, and LED's rule that roost now. I ran my FX3 from Tuesday to Sunday continuous on my LED, no worries on that going out on me in a cave!
