Oh well - thanks. I spent the time sorting my home network that powers c**tplaces.

I have a cracking next weekend lined up in the Peak District, might do my longest 100ft SRT.

Before anyone asks its all perfectly 'legal' with my BCA insurence and with caving club members from that area. A few locations have been talked about Water Icicle Mine or Hillocks Mine or P8. Streaching my SRT experiance past 80ft maybe or just lots of practice with lots of short ones. I hope to get some good photos now I have more flashes working. So might spend a long day at one mine getting good photos and hammer round something the next.

Of the three choices you mention, if you're after SRT practice and leaning towards mine as opposed to cave, the Whalf Pipe Climbing Shaft, which connects to Hillocks Mine would be worth considering (you only need a spanner to undo th enut on the shaft lid). The entrance shaft needs about 45m of rope and has 3 very straight-forward rebelays as opposed to Water Icicle which is about 45m just straight up and down.
The second pitch is short (about 10 metres) and drops you into Hillocks Mine after two very short climbs. If you also rigged the two short pitches in Hillocks then you would have an interesting through trip from Whalf Pipe to Hillocks or vice versa.

"sporting" indeed :p and in my humble opinion easier to find and traverse from the 210 end! Usual wet bits, loose bits, small bits, and some much younger shoring in a dig that has seen better days
Enjoy! Like a hamster up a tube?
