Bannerdale caves?

Just acquired the OS 1:25000  Explorer map for the English Lakes NE area, and notice a couple of "caves" marked on the Bannerdale Crags around NY 335295, along with a disused lead mine and an old level.

Anyone know what they are?

I'll be up that way shortly, but doubt I'll have the chance to get anywhere near 'em.

No caves up there, just some remnants of 19th century lead mine. One of the 'caves' is undoubtedly the graphite level. Very short trial and not known if graphite was actually found. The whole area beneath the crags is somewhat boggy at the best of time and best avoided.
Much better mines to see in that area anyway.
The only cave of note in that area is swilly hole / hammer root, which is about 5 miles from there. Looking at the clouds at the minute, swilly hole is best treated as a no-go area for now.

Thanks, guys.

Suspected as much.

Actually, the weather and other activities made sure I didn't get anywhere near!  The best I managed was a good view of Blencathra from Threlkeld Knotts when I did manage to get onto the fells.

Stuart Townend and his band were great, though!
