Cost of cylinder testing?

Is it me or are they charging rather more than formerly?

If anyone's had tanks tested in the last 3 months I'd be really interested to know what it cost for hydro and / or visual. Just trying to get a feel for the going rate at the moment. (Just for the avoidance of doubt I'm only interested in diving cylinder tests, not what industrial cylinder test stations charge.)

Thanks.

South West Maritime Academy (Cromhall Quarry) is £37.50 for visual, or £46.50 for hydro. Accurate as of about 5 minutes ago when Tony told me. I think it was cheaper 6 months ago last time I put any in.

Hey John

Just spoke to Aqualogistics in Stockport as I need to get some sorted myself. They charge £34 for a hydrostatic plus £12 extra for o2 clean if you want it.

I'm going to head there at some point in the next week to drop some off if you want any taking over. I'm in the Dales this weekend....

Do you know what an O2 clean is there? Might be worth the drive up!

Last twinset I had hydro+o2 clean was £160 at capernwray. That was a mistake not asking for a price first. £320 for two sets / 4 cylinders!

Previous years I’ve used scuba workshop uk near Rochdale. Twinset was about £65, £35 for singles 02 clean.

Thanks all - please keep the information coming; it's all very useful.

Benfool; thanks, especially, for the offer but I don't think I'll trouble you on this occasion.
