I'm a Derbyshire caver currently working towards my CIC assessment. A recent trip to the Dales led to a lengthly debate with some collegues about which caves I should endeavour to do before starting my assessment. Eventually I end up with a list of about 40 caves and the prospect of spending every day off for the next decade driving up to Yorkshire. Having looked through the previous posts and not found a great deal of inspiration I thought I would start a new topic.
I've recently done Ireby Fell, Bull Pot, Jingling, Rowten, Swinsto p/thro, Yordas, Allum and Great Douk. As well as a brief trip into the Ease Gill system and Bull Pot OTW.
I'm simply looking for a dozen or so trips at different levels that will give a good grounding in Yorkshire caves. Not looking for a 'tick list' of hard ones for the log book, just good trips, don't care if the're grade I or V or how vertical.
Anyway, I thought I would put it to the Yorkshiremen & women. What trips would you recommend for an aspirant CIC?
