Dover military bunkers

Slightly more recent than those axeheads and medieval dockyards: well worth a visit in the South East if you happen to be in Dover with time to spare are the military tunnels/bunkers under the National Trust's "Cliffs of Dover" property. There are also the parabolic concrete sound reflectors from WW2 (outdoors on the cliffs) which focused the sound of incoming troubles for pre-transistor pre-opamp detectors, possibly someone's ears in just the right spot.
