Found: Ian Bishop's Stuff

Hi Guys,

Nottingham Uni recovered a tackle sack full of goodies from Suicide Pot in Nettle Pot (Castleton). After cleaning the gear we found Ian Bishop written on the sack and an 18m rope belonging to KCC.

At a guess this was lost a long time ago as the krabs had to be removed from the sack with bolt cutters. The two tackle sacks are fine, the rope and shunt 'look fine' but the pulley is very corroded and stiff.

If anyone know's Ian can you get him to email me at rapax [at] hotmail [dot] co [dot] uk as I don't check UKCaving very much, if ever.

Wow.... I threw that tackle sack down there about 7 years ago, during a retreat in despeate wet conditions.

Always meant to go and recover it but it never happened.....

I'll pass him your email address if thats o.k.....

Probably not much use other than for "digging equipment"....Id not want to use gear that old in anger....
