I think an Enigma machine might be more appropriate! There appears to be alot of coded messages in this thread, uninterpretable to the lay reader. :cry:Now on another thread I said that one, long, very long, distant day in the future, we might have cotags to open caves.
The captain said you need very big batteries so it ain't gona appen.
Well, I don't think ENIGMA uses batteries.

So, extrapalating, first catch your enigma machine, next conect it up to a cave lock, then learn the code.
Easy, also very secure :D

There is also good coverage from Velvet Bottom, away from the Cabin and head back past Manopr Farm and past the old lead mines, on the brow of the hill up there O2 coverage is good - that is where I go to phone home when I'm there.

What hedge?

Thanks guys;  as my main mobile is with 02,  I will get a Vodaphone pay-as-you-go for my spare and look forward to getting back to <the hedge> very shortly, where Cap'n Chris is most welcome to visit  ;)

Depends what you mean by emergency, for general use I've found Vodafone to have the best reception bar none, but in a true emergency ie 999 call it doesn't matter what network you're on,in fact you don't even need a SIM card, the call is automatically routed via the network with the most signal.
