A fine cave though not for the more rotund and not in anything but dry conditions. Main problem is working out which of the numerous entrances in the Coille Gaireallach woodland is the right one. Trips there are now more affordable now the bridge tolls have ended.

Oh, you are asking about the Hell Hole in Skye otherwise known as Poll Iffin aren't you? :D

There r quite a number of hell holes in this country, but with you been from west yorkshire i assume your referring to the Hell hole at trollers gill(YORKSHIRE DALES), funnily enough i was down there myself about 2 weeks ago. Fine cave, easy access, an abundance of bolts, watch out for the weather because the crawl to the head of the 1st pitch would be impassable in flood.1st and 2nd pitch(70') lead to chamber, where many passages lead off(found a pile of mailons here last time), if u like to climb avens then there are some rather sporting climbs in here.
I was reading an article by Julian griffiths, about some duck that he passed, leading to further pitchs and continuation of streamway, i've had a look at the duck myself "bitter and murky" but not attempted to pass it, maybe next time, if ya short a somebody to go there with, give us a bell, i only live 5 minutes away. HAPPY DAYS

The link doesn't seem to work.
Remove the dot from the end and it works- http://cucc.survex.com/jnl/1981/hell.htm

enyone gone to hell hole and how was it
Which one? The Hell Hole in the classic caving region of Bowland?
Interesting place considering its location! Nice open hole, interesting excavated shaft which leads to a further pitch, followed by small passage (which we didn't look at). Worth doing on the same day as some of the other clasics in the area!

nearly drowned on the pitch/numbed to the point of hyperthermia in high water conditions when the ladder snagged on the jagged pitch after thinking it a good idea to tie the ladder tails to my belt so that it would be easier to pull up!!!!!!!!!
