How to Warm your wet suit !

I went mining with a total novice one day there we were on one of the coldest days i can remember when out comes his flask, fantastic a nice hot brew before we get wet, or so i thought !

The next thing he un zipps the coller and pours half the flask down the inside of front and the other half down the inside of the back !

Just wondered if any one by any slim chance has ever seen this done before and does it make a difference over the general thermal propites of the suit.

It would be a bit uncomfortable with half a flask down your front and another half down your back.

Hmmmm.... brief warmth a bit like that other method...

And whats wrong with just simple moving - that generates heat..?

Ah! that's it. You didn't mention the contents you old tease. You said it was 2 halves of the flask that were poured in the suit. I was wondering how that worked.

Once I took a party of novices down Mandale Mine. A certain young lady was complaining about the cold, even though she was wearing a wetsuit. As we were on the way back to the cars, I suggested she waited, but if desperate could try the "obvious" way to warm up.

A minute later she bounded up saying she had done that, and it was a great idea. I grimaced. Didn't want to have to wash THAT wetsuit.

Back at the cars everyone was larking about. I poured the contents of my wellie over one of the novices heads.

She thought that was really funny, and proceded to do the same with her wellie, over one of the instructors...... :shock:

I laughed so much I nearly bought a round....
